Terms of Service, Effective 1/1/2021

Boston Single Mingle has developed the following Terms of Service to protect the safety and integrity of our Community.

Event Policies:

  • Unless otherwise indicated, all events are for those over the age of 21. Should someone purchase a ticket to an event while being under 21, they will not be admitted to the event, and they will not receive a refund.

  • Unless otherwise indicated on the calendar listing on our website, tickets are non refundable once we are 7 days from the event. For example, if the event is being held at 6pm on March 21st, 2023, the ticket is not refundable if the request is received after 6pm on March 18th, 2023. Processing fees on our website are refunded and paid for by Boston Single Mingle, except for individuals who we feel are taking advantage of our policy. Eventbrite does not refund their processing fees.

  • Your registration may be transferred to a different event up to 72 hours before the event starts.

  • By purchasing a ticket, you are giving Boston Single Mingle the responsibility to provide a service to you. We will take on costs associated with your attendance, and count your ticket towards the total capacity allowed for the event. In the occurrence that you do not use your ticket, it is not transferable to a future date.

  • Tickets to our Single Mingle events may be transferred to someone else of your choosing, up until noon of the day the event is being held. Boston Single Mingle must be notified of this change, either by making an adjustment in your Eventbrite account to change the attendee name, or by emailing our team at hello@bostonsinglemingle.com

  • Should Boston Single Mingle need to cancel an event, (historically this has happened during a Blizzard and in March 2020 due to quarantine, but is not a common practice) attendees will have the option of a refund, or to transfer their ticket to the postponed date or a future event. Attendees will be notified by email, and will be given a minimum of a week to make a decision on how we should handle their ticket.

  • Safety is our priority. Our events, even when social in nature, are for professionals. A professional demeanor is expected and inappropriate behavior is not tolerated. Should a team member witness inappropriate behavior, or should we receive a complaint about an attendee, the attendee will be asked to leave immediately.

  • Someone who is not able to behave appropriately and show respect for all attendees will be banned from all social and singles events permanently, and upon a second complaint, will be banned from all events.

Matchmaking Policies:

  • With our coaching and matchmaking, any behavior deemed inappropriate forfeits the remainder of our agreement, no refunds.

  • Prior to your first date, your first name, and a description of your appearance will be shared with your date so that you can find each other and know that you are with the right person. By agreeing to a date, you are agreeing to this information being shared. Anything you share on your date is on your terms.

  • With proper notice, we will work with you on rescheduling your date. We understand that emergencies happen and people get sick, however we expect our clients to be considerate of each other - you deserve it!

  • If you do not show up for a scheduled, confirmed date without any notification, you will forfeit the remainder of your matchmaking service. Just like with our events, we have a zero tolerance policy for no-shows. The person you were about to meet has invested time and energy into meeting you, and deserves your respect.

  • Personalized matchmaking includes up to 12 dates over a 6 month period. This requires a 1-5k investment. Prices depends on the number of dates and your criteria. Up to 1 year of “hold time” may be placed on your contract so that you may explore a relationship without losing our services.

  • Our Matchmaking Service is not guaranteed, and not refundable if we find dates that fit your non-negotiable criteria.

    • When you begin working with us, you will complete a detailed questionnaire and have a consultation with one of our team members. You will tell us about yourself, your interests, and indicate your “non-negotiables”. If we are not able to offer you a date that meets your non negotiables within 6 weeks we will offer you a partial refund which reflects the time spent consulting with a matchmaker and any events you attended during that time period. There is a second check point of 2 dates within 12 weeks.

    • If we match you with someone who is interested in meeting you and fits your non-negotiables, however you choose to pass on the date, your package will not be eligible for a refund. We will however continue our efforts until we have satisfied the amount of dates you choose or 6 months have passed.
